As part of the 10th Anniversary of the Twinning agreement between Sausalito and Cascais, The Flag Officers and Executive Boards of Clube Naval de Cascais and the Sausalito Yacht Club announced the official signing of reciprocity papers between the two yacht Clubs.

Future plans include a continuation of youth sailing exchanges with additional maritime and aquatic activities.

In attendance at the official signing were the Commodores of each club, a contingent of Staff Commodores, the President of the Cascais Tourism Board and the Cascais International Affairs Director.

This agreement was a direct result of the Sister City program between Sausalito and Cascais Portugal

Bernardo Correa de Barros, President of the Cascais Visitor and Convention Bureau recognized by Sausalito Mayor Melissa Blaustien for his contribution to the Sister City relationship between Cascais and Sausalito and made an Honoray Citizen of Sausalito by uniramous vote of the Sausalito City Council
