Vasco Morais is of Portuguese decent, was a past President of the Sausalito Portuguese Hall, and has been involved in the Cascais sister-city from its inception. Vasco is from Cascais, having lived in Cascais as child, and has many fond memories of summers in Cascais.

Vasco is currently Executive Vice President. Secretary, and General Counsel to ATEL Capital Group. Prior to ATEL, Mr. Morais was employed by Bank of America, and prior to that, he was employed with the Consolidated Capital Companies, in the Corporate and Securities Legal Department.

Mr. Morais holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a joint JD/MBA (Finance) degree from Golden Gate University. Mr. Morais is an active member of the State Bar of California and has served as Co-Chair of the California State Bar Association, Business Law Section, Uniform Commercial Code Committee. He has authored various publications and presented at speaking engagements on both the UCC and equipment finance. Mr. Morais is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and serves on the Boards of several non-profit organizations.
