My visit to Japan was one that will never be forgotten. The people I met and places I visited were life changing and I couldn’t have asked anything more from the experience, which heavily shifted my life views. I’ve had the benefit of creating what I expect will be lifelong relationships with the family that hosted me. Their hospitality was extraordinarily prevalent, and I was treated as part of the family from day one. The acceptance I felt from the get-go made me feel as if I was encouraged to assimilate into the Japanese culture and daily lifestyle, and the family’s generosity is something that continues to impress and inspire me.
