In 2015 Cheryl became the Chair of Sausalito Cascais Operations Council and launched the first international youth sailing exchange program with the Sausalito Yacht Club and Club Navale in Cascais. She is a Board Member of Sister Cities Inc. representing Cascais Sister City.
Cheryl Co-chaired the Vina Del Mar Sister City Program in 2013-2015 during which time she developed and executed the mentoring program for entrepreneurial women in Vina del Mar. She participated as a delegate to Vina Del Mar in 2013 and 2014 and provided a homestay for a Vina Del Mar delegate in Sausalito.
A UC Berkeley graduate, Cheryl has experience in international marketing, communications, and public relations. She owns PoppInc Marketing and Communications and strategizes with small businesses and entrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay Area on branding and marketing campaigns. She is a former President of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, an appointee to the Sausalito Business Advisory Council Committee, a member of the Sausalito Women’s Club, and has served on the Sausalito Yacht Club Board of Directors. Cheryl writes for Marin Scope and Marin Magazine. In 2011 she was a Spirit of Marin award recipient.
