Lynn Reid

Lynn Reid has been involved with the Sausalito-Sakaide Sister City program from about 2012 when she first heard about the program and encouraged her friend, Dina Hatchiel’s daughter to apply to the program. Since then she has been involved in planning the schedule for the Sausalito component of the program and interviewing delegates to go to Japan. She  had the great pleasure of being a chaperone on the 2017 trip to Sakaide. She is a member of the Sausalito Sakaide Sister City operations council

Professionally, Lynn was the social worker and program director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at St Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco for seven years before obtaining her real estate license. For the last 30 years Lynn has been a realtor in San Francisco and Marin and currently works for Compass.

Lynn grew up in Cape Town, South Africa where she obtained a Masters Degree in Psychiatric Social Work at the University of Cape Town.

Lynn lives in Mill Valley with her husband and their dog, Layla. Their son, who lives in San Francisco, is a frequent visitor. When not working Lynn can be found biking or hiking in the Marin hills, swimming at Stinson Beach or cooking.
