Third generation native Californian. Descendant of Azorean immigrants who came to California from the island of Flores around 1880.
I was serving on the Board of Directors of IDESST Sausalito Portuguese Cultural Center when the idea of adopting a Sister City in Portugal was discussed. I was Present of IDESST when the agreement was signed.
I have served on the Council since the establishment of the Agreement between Sausalito and Cascais. I have visited Cascais twice with the official delegation
Resident of Mill Valley for 44 years. Currently, President of the Alto Sanitary District; I serve on the Board of the Mt. Tam Quilt Guild. I was Chair of the Save Horse Hill campaign in the mid 1980s. This campaign resulted in the purchase of 34+ plus acres of land in Mill Valley as permanent Open Space.
