Deb is a new volunteer with Sausalito Sister Cities Inc.  She has lived in the Bay Area on and off, for over 20 years and retired here in 2018, after a 40-year career in government and public affairs in the energy and mining sectors.  Working throughout Latin America, she had responsibility for corporate communications with multicultural constituencies including communities, governmental leaders and the media.  She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

In retirement, Deb has been an active volunteer with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), working with youth in the foster care system.  She also serves as a reading tutor with elementary school children through the Experience Corps program. In addition, Deb is a volunteer with the Sausalito Center for the Arts, welcoming visitors from all over the world.
